CONTROL OF DIRECT CURRENT MOTOR USING GA AND PSO ALGORITHM

    This design is to compare PSO and GA algorithm to find the parameters of the PID for the given transfer function.In this design, Genetic Algorithm and Partial Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm is proposed as tuning mechanism for Proportional- Integral-Derivative (PID) controller of a direct current (DC) motor from a robotic arm. Firstly, the model of the DC motor, PID and GA and PSO algorithm are designed and tested using Matlab. Finally, the experimental results of PID and tuning methods are compared with its simulation results as shown in the video demo.
