MIMO-STBC BASED MULTI-RELAY COOPERATIVE COMMUNICATION OVER NAKAGAMI-M FADING CHANNELS

In wireless communications, multi-antenna systems prove to be an economical scheme, provides an improvement in diversity, bandwidth efficiency and mitigate the fading arises due to multipath. This Matlab design analyses the effect of time-selective Nakagami-m fading channel considering channel estimation error and provides an enlightening into the pairwise error probability (PEP) of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) space-time block coded (STBC) based selective decode then forward cooperative scheme considering Nakagami-m channel. Both dual-phase and multiphase selective Decode-and-Forward (DF) relaying protocols are considered for end-to-end communication in a multiple relay cooperative system.A framework is developed for obtaining the optimal source relay power factors for each of the above protocols, which significantly improve the end-to-end reliability of the system for a given power budget. Simulation results yield several important insights into the end-to-end error performance for different mobility conditions and validated with analytical results.
