OPTIMAL PLACEMENT OF DG FOR LOSS REDUCTION USING PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION
DESIGN DETAILS
The objective of this Matlab design is to find optimal solution for sizing and sitting of the Distribution Generation for minimize the power loss to satisfy the limits of transmission lines and other constraints. In this design Particle Swarm Optimization is used to find the optimal placement of distributed generation (DG) to reduce the power loss. Here we used variable DG placement i.e DG=2 or 3 or 4 is used to find the optimal DG location and its size which corresponding to the maximum loss reduction. The load flow analysis on distribution use forward-backward sweep methodology.
TESTING
Two test bus system (IEEE 33 and 69) are employed to evaluate by variable number of DG using Matlab version 2020a.
