TURBULENT CHANNEL OVER FREE SPACE OPTICAL NETWORK FOR CDMA WIRELESS COMMUNICATION

This project analysis theoretical and Matlab experimental performance study to characterize the transmission of code-division-multiple-access-based wireless signals over a free-space optical (FSO) system.

Free space optical (FSO) communication requires the information signal to propagate in line of sight between transmitter and receiver at optical frequencies such as GHz to THz. The information signal is first modulated on to an optical carrier and is propagated through free space, where due to degrading factors such as absorption, scattering and atmospheric turbulence the signal power is adversely affected before being received at the receiver.

Presently mobile cellular and communication system (MCCS) technology based on code division multiple access (CDMA) for its data and voice communication requirement within the units and formation’s deployed in field areas. While operating in such areas the real time information sharing acquires utmost importance. Due to the diverse environmental conditions in such areas sometimes it becomes difficult to share real time information. The issues such as lack of connectivity arises frequently, which hampers the functioning of the system. This Matlab design focuses suggesting measures to improve by analysing below methods.
